How to Find Lost Items

Kings 5:5-7 “They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees. As one of
them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. "Oh, my
lord," he cried out, "it was borrowed!" The man of God asked, "Where did it
fall?" When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there,
and made the iron float. "Lift it out," he said. Then the man reached out
his hand and took it.
During Praise and Worship at church one day
I discovered my diamond had falling out of my wedding ring.
I frantically whispered in my husband’s ear
that I lost my diamond. He told me not to worry because God would help us
find it. I knew I had lost it in church because I had cleaned my rings
before leaving my house.
As soon as Praise and Worship was over I
worriedly started looking for it. Our associate Pastor Mark Berry noticed
that I was in turmoil. He said, “Let’s stop and pray and ask God to help us
find it.” I joyfully agreed.
After we prayed Pastor Mark looked down on
the ground and noticed something sparkling. He said, “Look what I
see.” He went where the sparkle was and picked up a small sparkling rock. I
was amazed. I couldn’t wait to testify and tell of the goodness of the Lord
during "testimony time". Everyone Praise God with me as I shared the story.
The next day my husband and I went to the
jeweler were we bought our rings to have them mount the stone. I shared the
story with them and they too were amazed. They said, “Let’s see the ring and
the diamond now so we can make sure this doesn’t happen again.” I gave it to
them.
The jeweler peered through the magnify
glass. With a confused look he said, “This isn't the stone that goes
into your ring. It's a fake.” I was shocked.
So there I went again back to the church.
My husband and I searched and searched throughout the whole church for my
small diamond. Nothing. We could not find it. Tom consoled me and promised
to give me another one.
"Okay," still sulking with tears streaming
down my face.
On Sunday Morning I went to church and
shared with Pastor Mark what had happened. He could not believe it. He
thought for sure he had found the diamond.
“Well let’s pray again. God can show us
where your diamond is at.” I anxiously agreed. Opening his eyes after
prayer Mark looked on the ground and said, “Look there. Something
sparkling.”
To me it looked like a piece of
glitter so I didn't pay much attention until he said, "Ah, this is it!"
Amazed! it was my diamond. It was real. It was a miracle.
I couldn’t wait to go back to the jeweler.
Everyone in the jewelry store was astonished. "It's a miracle" they
proclaimed. Never in all of their experience have they ever heard of anyone
finding their diamond especially in the incredible manner I had.
God is Wonderful. He is Beyond Words. I am
forever grateful for His love towards me.
God loves you too. He will help you find
those things that are dear to you just like Elisha helped a man with his
axe. If you have lost something ask Him for His help today and don't be too
surprised when He does.
